The Challenge
Switching phones and updating the IT
Theatre Royal Plymouth (TRP) needed to overhaul its telephony, but with minimal disruption to the everyday running of the theatre, including the busy box office. IT security needed updating. WiFi was slow and needed to be completely replaced. Hardware was out of date and the end of Microsoft’s support for Windows 7 was looming, adding to the need for a quick turnaround.

The Solution
Better service with complete support
ITEC Engineers took a collaborative approach to reforming the IT at TRP, as part of its Technology Managed Services. New hardware and software were put in place, alongside rebuilt infrastructure and a complete replacement of WiFi. Improved security measures — including endpoint email security — were set up. ITEC Engineers also came up with a master plan for migrating the theatre’s phone lines that had minimal impact on the day-to-day running of the theatre.
