The Leaders Romans Group represents one of the largest independent residential property groups in the UK, specialising in lettings, sales, buy-to-let and investment finance. Since early 2017, ITEC has provided this dynamic, highly acquisitive group with ultra-flexible Managed Print services, backed up by ITEC’s 777 Support.
Backed by Bowmark Capital LLP, the Leaders Romans Group has annual revenues of over £100 million and more than 140 branches across the UK. In 2016 Leaders (with 120 branches) and Romans (with 27) joined forces and raced up the league table of largest agencies.
Both firms were already highly acquisitive in their own right, accelerating growth by adding quality lettings and estate agency businesses to the roster. A core business skill is making the acquisition process as smooth and friction-free as possible, minimising the disruption to clients and staff.
At the same time, acquisition brings complications and challenges. For example, branches have different printers on a range of contractual terms – leading to inconsistency, inefficiency, and waste.
Determined to put in place a more effective solution, in late 2016 the Group went out to tender for its Managed Print service. A range of manufacturers and resellers responded to a brief that focused on a cost-effective route to taking control of an ever-expanding printer fleet.
The contract was awarded to ITEC and the engagement began with a major replacement project that delivered 96 new machines to branches nationwide in the space of a couple of months. This demanded stringent project management as, drawing on ITEC’s engineering resource, Romans and Leaders set out to standardise its printer fleet at high speed.
A disparate range of printer contracts have now been consolidated into one global contract with ITEC that is easier and simpler to manage.
