Journey from Bristol to Musoto, Uganda

Oasis Academy Musoto is a new Oasis Academy built in Mbale, Uganda, to provide education and hope for children in an area where, currently, only ten per cent of young people complete primary education and move on to secondary school.

The next phase of the project is to install, configure and set-up an IT container classroom with computer equipment and satellite Internet connectivity.

To help get the IT container classroom up and running before Christmas 2016, we need to raise £7,202 to pay local craftsmen to fit out the classroom with workbenches and seating and to install the solar panels that will power the technology. A donation from ITEC has enabled the team in Uganda to purchase and transport the container.

Over the next 9 weeks, we’ll work with local Oasis Academies in the South West to raise the remaining £7,202 through a static bike cycling challenge – cycling the distance from Bristol to Uganda!

To help us get the IT container classroom up-and-running by December, you can make a donation towards the Academies’ fundraising challenge here. Thank you!
